The work
What the job actually involves
A full install starts with the things nobody photographs: where water goes when it rains, how the grade falls away from the house, and where the irrigation has to run before anything gets planted on top of it. Get those wrong and the pretty part fails.
From there it's hardscape, irrigation, soil prep, plant material and rock or turf — sequenced so no trade undoes another's work. You deal with us for all of it rather than coordinating four contractors.
A full install is the one project where sequencing matters as much as workmanship. Irrigation has to be in before surfaces go down. Grading has to be right before anything is planted on it. Hardscape has to account for where water ends up.
Getting that order wrong is how people end up paying to dig up work they've already paid for. Running it as one job with one crew is most of the value.

What moves the number
We don't publish a price per square foot, because a number given without seeing the site is a guess that only ever moves upward. These are the things that genuinely change what this work costs — so when you compare quotes, you can see where they differ and why.

Before you call
Landscape Installations questions
How long does a full install take?
Depends entirely on scope, but think in weeks rather than days. Grading, irrigation and hardscape each take real time before anything looks finished.
Can it be done in phases?
Yes, and often it should be. The rule is that grading, drainage and irrigation go in first even if planting waits — retrofitting those is far more expensive.
Do you do design as well as install?
Yes. Winter is the best time for the design conversation, when there's no pressure against a start date.
Will my yard be unusable the whole time?
Partly, for a while. We keep the site tidy and give you your driveway back each evening, but a full install is disruptive and it's better to know that up front.
Do you remove what's already there?
Yes — old turf, dead planting, failed concrete. Removal and haul-away is quoted as part of the job.
